I read a book this summer, a biography about Queen Noor of Jordan. And ever since then I've been really interested to see this unique country. I'll get to visit some of the spots mentioned in the book.
March 16-17: Jordan Valley. We're staying in an Ecopark called Foeme-Sharhabil bin Hassneh. I had no idea what an Ecopark was until I checked out the website: http://foeme.org/www/?module=projects&record_id=170. Yup that's the actual website.
March 17-19: Amman. We'll be in the Palace Hotel (www.palacehotel.com.jo/).
From Amman we venture into Israel. We return to Jordan about a month later...
April 24-25: Aqaba
April 25-26: Wadi Rum. We're staying in a Bedouin Camp this night.
April 26-27: Petra. This night too we will be bunking in a Bedouin Camp. You can check it out at www.bedouincamp.net. Here is a little preview:
April 27-28: Madaba. The Mariam Hotel (www.mariamhotel.com)
From Madaba, we fly back to Paris for one more night. Then the semester ends in Paris on April 29. From this point on, I'll be on my own (with friends of course, like my roommate Audrey), and we'll be backpacking around until May 18, when I fly home.
